Position Overview
The IT Analyst, in the IT Application Administration team, works under general supervision as part of a collaborative team environment, and contributes to the maintenance, training, and documentation of the KU IT Service Management environments. This position will have primary responsibility for administration of the TeamDynamix ITSM system. Different skill sets may be emphasized as dictated by current priorities requiring the incumbent to be adaptable. The incumbent is expected to take every opportunity to advance knowledge in service platform offerings. Effective communication with peers, other campus service providers/data sources, vendors, and IT management is essential to assure timely well-documented results. An aspect of this position will be public-facing, meeting with campus entities to discuss feasibility of potential solutions in TeamDynamix and discussing options for best solutions with the ITSA unit. Remote work may be allowed from eligible states.

Job Description
45% - Perform day-to-day administration of the service platform with a primary focus on TeamDynamix, including iPaaS, account management, and reporting. Develop and implement new processes and workflow update sets as well as making approved changes to existing processes and workflows. Coordinates integrations with other university systems.

25% - Provide front line service to end users, including completing requests for reporting, and training end-users in various ITIL processes related to TeamDynamix, focusing on training units on newly developed workflows in TDX.

15% - Work with the AA team and end users to develop requirements and solutions for implementations.

10% - Develop clear and concise technical recommendations, processes, and road map documentation for TeamDynamix. This includes recommendations on new functionality within the TeamDynamix solution.

5% - Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma/ GED and four years of relevant professional experience or an associate's degree and two years relevant professional experience or a Bachelor's degree.
  2. One (1) year of experience supporting an enterprise system with various interconnected parts.
  3. Experience developing reports to make data accessible and actionable as outlined in application materials.
  4. One year experience providing training of a software platform to end users.
  5. Strong written communication skills as evidenced in application materials.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience can substitute for a degree.
  2. Direct experience administering TeamDynamix.
  3. Strong knowledge of ITIL v4, ITSM concepts, enterprise IT architecture.
  4. Experience in evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  5. Excellent customer service skills.
  6. Experience with Python, JavaScript, or other scripting language.
  7. Strong commitment to and significant experience with customer service.
  8. Ability to learn quickly and adapt rapidly in a changing environment.
  9. Working knowledge of KU Information Technology processes and policies.
  10. Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
