PRIMARY FUNCTION: Plans, organizes and directs the functions and activities of the Department of Healthcare Safety Services for Jefferson Health Oversees security operations and ensures enforcement of all regulations and policies and procedures essential to a safe and secure campus and hospital environment. Works collaboratively with Public Safety and hospital operational leadership to direct the daily security operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor#39;s Degree in related field. Master#39;s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION: Pennsylvania ACT 235 Certification a plus. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Leadership experience in Hospital based safety and security services required. Understands and uses inclusion management principles in order to accomplish objectives through people. Ability to influence, direct, and guide others so as to gain their loyal cooperation in the accomplishments of an objective. Lead, direct and control the daily issues of a diverse work force in a complex urban setting. Respond quickly and calmly to sensitive situations where individuals may be exhibiting negative or threatening behavior. Knowledge of federal, state and local statues/ordinances. Knowledge of principles, methods and techniques of maintaining effective protection programs. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
