What's the role?

The Engineering Content Manager leads the implementation of integrated, multi-channel, results-driven marketing efforts within North America and Latin America (the W1 and W2 regions). Responsible for reaching the target customers to drive the specification to sale conversion of anchors within a given industry segment utilizing Hilti marketing processes and market reach resources. Position combines technical and marketing knowledge and competences in order to fulfill the company's sales objectives and goals.

What does the role involve?
  • Analysis and investigations of complex technical anchor related topics (technical data and design) with the intent to provide project teams and management with the necessary data, insight, and context for decision making (considerations included product, design, software, and regulations assessments).
  • Design, develop, and carry out technical marketing initiatives and campaigns that support the Global Business Unit (BU) Anchor strategy and stated objectives, within the W1 and W2 regions.
  • In collaboration with the local Technical Marketing and Engineering teams, establish and develop technical marketing objectives and goals for assigned industry segment to improve specification strength and specification coverage.
  • Responsible for coaching and directing local Technical Marketing and Engineering teams in developing, coordinating, and implementing market, technical sales, brand, and market reach strategies for the segment.
  • Analyze and interpret marketing trends concerning technical anchor products or services.
  • Prepare and present analytical reports.
  • Organize and conduct research activities.
  • Prepare presentations for both internal and external customers.
  • Evaluate the specifier's needs and expectations and match product, service, and software solutions to create differentiation.
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering through the new product/ software development (TTM) and product care global process.
  • Partner with global counterparts to align on common roadmap and to prepare deliverables.
  • Responsible for the selection, organization, and participation in key associations, boards, and trade shows related to the given segment including steering mechanisms to evaluate ROI for participation.
  • Build and strengthen a trade community via newsletters, webinars, and trainings.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across channels.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What you need is:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required (Master's Degree in Structural/Civil engineering preferred)
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience in marketing, engineering practice, or equivalent time calling on engineering firms in an engineering sales capacity
  • Experience in the Commercial segment highly preferred
  • Strong creative skills, as well as experience in managing internal relationships and multiple, high impact projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
  • Interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Very strong organizational competences
  • Efficient in time management and attentive to details
  • Negotiation and customer service skills
  • Results-oriented with business awareness
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to understand market trends and customer needs
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Technical knowledge, IT knowledge, and computer proficiency
