Job Summary

Work closely with, learn from, and assist Reliability & Safety Engineers in our Electro-Optical & Infrared Systemsline of business. Job Responsibilities

* Support engineering with routine engineering duties and/or hands-on tasks

* Work independently on daily tasks

* Ensure systems comply with government standards

* Under direction, responsible for completing process documentation, bill of materials, route sheets, etc

* Review project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature

of technical problem and possible solutions, to capture and document safety analysis and findings

* Review engineering changes/mishaps and confirm all design changes are thoroughly incorporated into the system

* Under direction, track mitigation of software and firmware related hazards

* Analyze test results related to the design and test objectives and adjusts equipment to bring within specification; record

these test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test

methods

* Assist in the creation of documentation to maintain equipment

* Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a 4 year Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program, or have majors/minors in Human Factors and Safety
  • At least 2 years of college completed with 3.0 GPA or better.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems using your natural curiosity.
  • Work effectively as a member of a team or on individual tasks.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
