Overview
The Medical Assistant 1 maintains department patient care supplies, rooms patients in a timely fashion, performs EKG's and Point of Care testing and assists physicians and nurses to provide optimal care to patients and families. This position is also open to candidates with Certified Medical Assistant. Qualifications License/Certifications: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA) Education: College Diploma: Licensed Practical Nurse (Required); Certificate of Completion: Licensed Practical Nurse (Required) Other Knowledge/Skills: Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse, midlevel provider or physician. Nursing care is guided by the provider orders and the nursing plan of care within the LPN scope of practice. Administer medications: orally, rectally, intramuscular and inhalation. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $15.8per hour - $25.6per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
