Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide manufacturing engineering support to the operational team where needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, cost reduction and process improvement through lean techniques and value engineering to enhance the capability of existing processes and waste prevention and removal according the guidelines of the Vacuum Technique Production System.
  • Elimination of routing and material variances impacting financial results of Product Company.
  • Perform time studies for the assembly processes to create the correct routings and to optimize the balancing of the assembly process.
  • Accountable for the definition, setup, preparation and optimization of manufacturing tooling.
  • Value stream mapping and specification and implementation of in and outbound logistical flows for the manufacturing cells.
  • Creation and maintenance of SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), technical specifications for manufacturing equipment, test spec
  • Active training process, procedures, documentation and traceability to create and sustain the workforce competences within the allocated manufacturing cells.
  • To design, prove, implement and maintain Cell manufacturing system layout.
  • Work with other departments and suppliers to support all the quality issues on components and products in the cells.
  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance; works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Respectfully takes direction from manager; other duties as assigned.



Education level



  • Bachelor degree in engineering, Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred. Degree in sciences is sufficient with supporting manufacturing or operations experience.



Relevant Previous experience



  • Minimum 3 year experience in manufacturing, assembly, production or operations environment.
  • Electro Mechanical experience is preferred.



Knowledge areas/Skills



  • Experience/knowledge of Kaizen, 6S, Lean Manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
  • Advanced Excel (Pivot Charts, VLookup), Word, Autocad, PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)



Other requirements



  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 3 years' experience in project management and leading improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated skill and achievement in implementing Lean practices in a operations environment.
