Pediatric Outpatient Endocrinology Nurse

JOB PURPOSE

The registered nurse will be responsible for the overall care of the pediatric patient in the Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic

QUALIFICATIONS

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Minimum: Nursing Degree

Preferred: BSN/MSN

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Minimum: RN License, Certified Diabetic Education (CDE) certification is required within 6 months of being eligible for the certification.

Preferred:

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum: IV starting, pediatric dosing medication calculations, phlebotomy, and administration of insulin. Preferred:

YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum: 3 years of nursing experience

Preferred: Pediatric experience and diabetes and endocrinology experience preferred
