Job Description: Associate Senior Legal Counsel, Privacy

The Opportunity

We are looking for great legal minds with in-depth knowledge of global data protection laws, SaaS technologies, generative Al, and other machine learning techniques to join our amazing Privacy Office and Cybersecurity Legal team.

What You'll Do

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams (e.g.,Product, Engineering, Design, Security, IT, and Marketing) to assess potential privacy and security risks and regulatory requirements for Adobe's products and technologies.
  • Stay current on evolving global data protection and privacy laws, developments, and frameworks as well as other laws with an impact on the processing of personal information (especially emerging Al regulations like the EU Al Act) and provide practical and strategic advice to the business.
  • Help develop and scale our privacy program.
  • Develop and implement Privacy-By-Design strategies for Adobe digital media products and technologies and drive business solutions.
  • Draft and help maintain Adobe's domestic and international privacy and data policies, standards, and processes.
  • Review and maintain records of processing activities; conduct various privacy assessments (e.g., PIAs, LIAS, DPIAS).
  • Review/draft a variety of privacy agreements, including data processing agreements.
  • Develop and provide privacy training to other legal and business partners.
  • Manage outside counsel advice.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; CIPP preferred
  • J.D. degree and membership in at least one state bar
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant privacy experience, including prior in-house and law firm experience
  • Familiarity and interest in new media and emerging digital technologies, including generative Al
  • Ability to work across teams and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinker with excellent legal and business judgment
  • A detail-oriented, business-friendly team player who can think creatively
  • Strong understanding and experience with international privacy laws
  • Desire to learn, excellent judgment, fun spirit, and sense of humor
  • Work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
  • Worked successfully in a very fast-paced environment
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $132,400 -- $260,800 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
