Purpose of the Job The Business Partner Officer is responsible for the identification, solicitation, and management of existing and new Business Partners. The Officer promotes credit union products and services and manages a portfolio of existing and prospective business partners that focus on relationship building and onsite engagement activities. This role also collaborates with business partners to develop a comprehensive financial wellness program and delivers financial education classes that empower employees to make informed financial decisions and achieve sustainable financial goals. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Supports Truliant Foundation, community outreach, and financial wellness strategies that strengthen Truliant's visibility, brand, and social impact.
- Identifies prospective business partners and maintains an active pipeline of partnership opportunities that support goals through reviews, analysis and outreach.
- Collaborates with internal teams to ensure the financial well-being of those served through the financial wellness program.
- Engages in networking to identify and connect with prospective business partners through representation at community events, fairs, and professional networking groups to promote financial initiatives and resources.
- Cultivates relationships with existing and potential business partners that provide continuous opportunities to engage with employees to promote financial literacy and wellness through onsite activities and financial education classes.
- Independently manages and updates schedule for prospective partner meetings, onsite activities and financial education class requests. Responds in a timely manner to all communications; internally and externally.
- Promotes awareness of personalized guidance and services offered by local branches through financial education onsite and remote seminars.
- Stays informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to financial education and consumer finance.
- Partners with branch staff to support business partner activities that increase traffic and influence membership growth at the branch. Monitors and evaluates success of the partnership through survey feedback and shared results about member interactions.
- Maintains adherence to guidelines established for onboarding prospective business partners to include, but not limited to, preparing needs assessment and company profile.
- Oversees logistics, scheduling, marketing materials, outside vendors and all aspects of on-site execution of table visits, wellness fairs, new hire orientation, workshop, and webinar facilitation.
- Analyzes data and participant survey feedback to identify areas for improvement, enhance learning strategies and customize approach to best align with participant needs.
- Maintains accurate and timely records of business partner information in department database and prepares reporting on BP activities, tasks, and projects.

- Must have proven ability to coordinate multiple events and meetings simultaneously
- Must have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Must have strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Must have proven ability to utilize various sales techniques, with strong persuasive skills
- Must have the ability to work with people at different job levels ranging from CEO's and Senior Managers to front-line employees
- Must have excellent computer skills, with basic knowledge of the MS Office suite of products
- Must have ability to understand all business processes within the Credit Union
- Must be able to work in a general office environment
- Must be flexible and able to shift resources and priorities as required
- Must be able to complete all assignments with minimal supervision
- Must have the ability to work outside normal business hours to include evenings and weekends in support of department activities and needs.
- Should possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant's members
Physical Requirements
- Occasional standing for long periods of time, walking long distances, bending, and stooping required
- Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
- Must be able to moderately lift or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds
- Frequent travel required (up to 75%), including evenings, weekends and overnight travel
Education and Background
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business development, sales or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business-to-business sales required
- Previous experience in financial services/business development related field preferred
- Previous marketing analysis experience preferred
- Knowledge of educational training techniques preferred
- Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation required
