Below, you'll find other important information about this position. Subject matter expert of Infinitt/PACs software. Responsible for day-to-day operation of the Infinitt/PACs application including image workflow, troubleshooting, and optimizing the Infinitt/PACs software capabilities. This individual will proactively seek out opportunities for increased efficiency and throughput in the Ophthalmology clinic, as it pertains to ancillary and diagnostic equipment and testing. This Individual will Identify systems solutions to meet functional needs, streamline operations, and ensure patient safety and confidentiality. This individual will serve as the liaison between the department and WVUH IT, including Epic Ambulatory Support and PACs teams, WVUH Biomed Engineering, and assist where necessary with vendor support personal. This individual works closely with department leadership to ensure proper operation of image data transfer into the Infinitt system and oversees and corrects errors in the Infinitt/Epic data transmission process. They will need to develop a strong understanding of how to operate ophthalmic equipment and perform all diagnostic ancillary testing, be able to offer education to support staff, maintain weekly/monthly/yearly calibration of equipment, (including GTM and Tonopens) Work with vendor support personnel when necessary for troubleshooting, equipment set up, follow up support, training and other related activities. Epic enhancements, onboarding staff and providers, maintaining connection with WVUH IT to troubleshoot and resolve workflow/clinical issues in the software. Epic maintenance, including but not limited to, tech work list upkeep, scheduling/correcting erroneously entered orders, and creating and maintaining provider and department Smart phrases. Work interdepartmentally with compliance, billing, legal, etc. to ensure provider Epic documentation is following current standards and practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology

2. Licensure or registry in area of clinical expertise, required (COA, COT, COMT)

EXPERIENCE:

1. Five (5) yeas of related experience to include clinical experience and working knowledge of Ophthalmology, AND experience working with systems applications including design, testing, troubleshooting problems and/or training

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE:

1. Licensure or registry in area of clinical expertise (COA, COT, COMT, OCT-C, CRA)

2. Bachelor's Degree

EXPERIENCE

1. Familiarity with PACS and Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications

1. Maintains a thorough understanding of supported applications, related interfaces and ongoing upgrades and enhancements.

2. Aids in problem identification and resolution of daily production problems in a timely manner asdefined by department Policy.

3. Investigates vendor application packages and participates in system selections.

4. Manages projects assigned by leadership

5. Provides training instruction for all department used ancillary testing equipment, including but not limited to Biometry devices, Perimetry devices, Ophthalmic photography equipment, Anterior segment equipment, as well as new or enhanced software releases or modifications.6. Monitors current application performance and makes recommendations to leadership

7. Works with Biomed to ensure annual performance maintenance is performed on all ancillary testing equipment and clinical equipment.

8. Performs all weekly/monthly/yearly calibration and maintenance cleaning of clinical devices and equipment.

9. Works closely with WVUH IT to set up new devices and equipment and to troubleshoot networking and other IT related issues.
