Construction Inspector, Facilities

RK&K, one of the nation's top consulting firms, is seeking a Facilities Construction Manager for our Program and Construction Management division working on Facilities and Maintenance projects in Pittsburgh area.

Essential Function

• Develop and manage construction schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Review and approve project plans, designs, and specifications.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
• Supervise all phases of construction, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance.
• Address and resolve any on-site issues or delays.
• Implement and monitor quality control processes.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with local codes, regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols on-site.
• Lead and manage construction teams, including inspectors and site personnel.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Ensure that facilities are designed and built to accommodate the intended functions and operations.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field OR
• Minimum 5 years of construction/construction management experience, preferably in transit/rail facilities.
• Project management, problem-solving, negotiation, and strong communication skills.
• Experience working with local transit agencies is highly preferred.
• CCM certification may be preferred.
• Familiarity with FTA guidelines, FRA standards, and local/state regulations
