WHAT THIS ROLE IS AND HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:

Are you a proven leader with experience overseeing a production floor and developing out-of-the-box solutions? Do you enjoy a fast-paced environment while also caring for your team members?

Reporting to the Sr Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor is pivotal in directing and coordinating the activities concerned with production of products, distribution of products, and tooling. It will be important to provide the customer with the right product at the right time within cost target and maintain safety regulations. The incumbent is also responsible for the supervision of production employees (High Speed, Order Assembly, Maintenance and Warehouse), providing timely feedback, inspiring the teams and fostering positive employee relations.

Essential Duties Include:



  1. Meets or exceeds departmental objectives by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Provides feedback, written and verbal, that accurately reflects the performance of each individual employee.
  2. Assigns work duties to personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; identifying and resolving problems; reporting results of the area.
  3. Maintains staff by anticipating personnel requirements, looks for out-of-the box solutions to handle peak needs, and keeps chain of command appraised of those needs. Participates in interviewing, assessing talent, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
  4. Demonstrates strong technical knowledge and is regarded as Subject Matter Expert (SME). Is seen as a credible source of information and is sought out for this expertise.
  5. Lead teams to deliver safety, low cost and high-quality execution of inventory, fulfillment, shipping logistics, and maintenance.
  6. Maximize plant capacity and develop, maintain, and monitor a production schedule to ensure flawless execution of all clients' projects, meeting or exceeding quality expectations, margin expectations and all drop date requirements.
  7. During peak periods, partner with internal resources and external sources to provide the flexible capacity solution needed to deliver dynamic peak client programs.
  8. Acts as a representative of Hallmark Business Connections to their direct reports and is the resource direct reports seek out. Knowledgeable regarding company policies, Environmental, Safety and OSHA standards that affect the work group and assures compliance with those regulations.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:



  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Associate's degree or a minimum of 3 years supervising direct reports.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree - preferably in supply chain, engineering, or production operations.
  • Experience managing in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills -includes both verbal and written.
  • Project management experience.
  • Adept at seeing opportunities to improve upon the status quo and implementing solutions.
  • Familiarity with principles of LEAN.
