Mortgage Warehouse Specialist is responsible for file-level activity related to individual loan fundings, including file review, wire requests, and customer communication

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary day-to-day contact for customer inquiries
  • Confirm receipt of required documents for each advance
  • Verify accuracy of submitted data against supporting documents
  • Execute fraud check, OFAC inquiry or other applicable processes for bank transactions
  • Collect counter-signatures from designated officer(s)
  • Confirm transmission of wires as necessary
  • Back up collateral specialist functions, when needed
  • Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence

Education and/or Experience

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 1-3 year experience in mortgage banking or financial services environment

Computer Skills

  • MS Office programs
