Purpose of Position

The Payroll Analyst primarily performs advanced payroll analysis and system related testing and configurations.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Configure payroll system to ensure operational efficiency and accurate payroll processing.
  • Perform post payroll analyses and audits to ensure external and internal payroll system compliance. Research and resolve complex payroll deviations.
  • Make recommendations for process and system improvements within Payroll, HR, Finance and Business Systems.
  • Collaborate with external and internal business partners to review, implement and test system enhancements.
  • Manage service tickets with Managed Service Provider
  • Write techno-functional requirements and test plans for payroll system and/or time & labor system changes and projects.
  • Lead system testing for all changes and enhancements for payroll system and/or time & labor system.
  • Train payroll staff on systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Coordinate testing and implementation of seasonal system releases
  • Provide support to internal team regarding system functionality and deviations.
  • Prepare adhoc payroll reports for internal stakeholders.
Minimum Education

Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field, preferred.

Minimum Experience

10-15 years of related experience in Payroll and/or Time & Labor systems.
