Georgia State University's Department of Campus Services Information Systems is seeking to hire an experienced Parking Technology Technician.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Under the general direction of the Analyst Programmer Manager, this position will act as a field technical support at Atlanta and various Perimeter College campuses for AIMS, TIBA, Park Logix and other parking related systems. This position will also act as a secondary field technical support for PantherCard System, Point of Sale Systems, access control and other Auxiliary and Support Services administrative systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



  • Act as a campus-wide field technical support for assigned parking systems to include, AIMS, TIBA, Park Logix and others.
  • Visits various devices as needed to troubleshoot and effect repair or replacement as needed.
  • Works with the Analyst Programmer and vendor representatives in coordinating system and equipment support, maintenance, and repair services with external vendors.
  • Provide technical support for other campus card system components as needed, such as point-of-sale terminals, ID production workstations, various card readers or scanners.
  • Liaison with campus customers both internal and external via email or phone to provide updates as needed on projects/repairs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Technical degree and two years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience.


Preferred Requirements:



  • Three years of experience with commercial and institutional parking systems, including TIBA, AIMS, T2, Flex, ParkLogix, etc.
  • Experience working in higher education setting.
  • Experience with the installation, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of mechanical components of parking system; gates, control panels, loops, rollup doors, LPR camera, etc.
  • Dedication to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work with a broad spectrum of individuals.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects/tasks.
  • High mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose problems and make appropriate repairs.
  • Familiarity with electrical, network testing tools including voltmeter, cable mapper, etc.
  • Strong multi-tasking ability.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to routinely walk to and from various buildings carrying tools, equipment and other essentials to the job site.
  • Must be able to work alone and climb multiple sets of stairs, work off ladders, etc.
  • Must be able to work overtime, as needed.
  • Valid GA driver's license.
