Overview of the Position:

Will work closely with functional leaders and team members to identify and implement business processes enhancements across Wencor Defense business systems. This may include enhancing existing ERP systems, implementation of new functionality, evaluation of third-party applications/tools, integration with 3rd party applications and services and maintenance of existing software platforms. Utilizing SDLC, will lead systems design, system integration, coordination with 3rd party vendors, execution of test plans, documentation and change management.

Must possess strong software development experience and skill set; have excellent written and verbal communication; demonstrate and maintain an understanding of business concepts; and exhibit a positive can-do attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate and collaborate with Functional Leaders/End Users to understand business requirements and develop functional design documentation.
  • Develop and maintain an ERP capabilities roadmap that is in alignment with Wencor Defense growth strategies, acquisitions and market trends.
  • Oversee and implement key ERP capabilities such as EDI, e-Commerce, VMI.
  • Analyze operational processes and procedures to develop business process solutions.
  • Perform daily maintenance of ERP (Pentagon 2000 & Evision) systems as required.
  • Track and plan for n-2 software release schedules for each ERP system
  • Ensure SOX IT Controls are in compliance and coordinate with the Finance team to support financials SOX Controls as needed.
  • Troubleshoot ERP systems as needed to identify root cause, coordinate with vendors to identify and implement solutions as required.
  • Respond to user requests, trouble tickets and resolve accordingly. Escalate as needed for 3rd party vendor support.
  • Coordinate and maintain alignment of system configurations across the multiple ERP instances used by Wencor Defense.


Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Experience with application and integration design methodologies, standards and best practices.
  • Knowledgeable with Government and Military industry standard processes.
  • Understand full Software Development Lifecycle, build and deploy procedures, and quality control processes
  • Experience with Data warehousing design and data modeling
  • Technical and infrastructure architecture design experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Database experience (MS SQL)
  • Ability to perform tasks from multiple projects simultaneously
  • Windows Servers and Storage Servers, Smart Guns, RFID.

Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Business. At least three years of hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Pentagon2000 and Evasion. A minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred in administering and supporting ERP systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, circumference, and volume. Analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
