Purpose of Position The position plays a central role in managing and maintaining stable and modern software on end user computing devices. As part of a highly collaborative team, the role will interact with many technical and business resources across the enterprise. The ideal candidate is a committed, creative, self-motivated technologist who is interested in practicing his or her skills and learning new ones. Tasks and Responsibilities Manage packaging specifications for new and existing products Track approved software packages and preemptively package bug fix and security patch releases Provide 24x7 on-call support, after hours and weekend work as needed Complete other tasks as required Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience Minimum Experience 5+ years experience managing Windows systems Knowledge, Skills, Abilities PowerShell scripting experience Experience in software packaging and deployments using SCCM Knowledge and experience using package provides such as ShavlikSystem and networking fundamentals Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience Exhibit and practice courteous, ethical and professional behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers Act in a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on common goals to achieve mutually beneficial resultsBe accountable and responsible for the accuracy and completeness of assigned work and resultsPrioritize and manage work load and communicate issues clearly Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills Comply with all laws, regulations and company policiesTravel when required Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met and/or encountered by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
