Investigate and maintain auto physical damage claims, review coverages, complete appraisals, and settle claims.
Must have appraiser license and be able to write auto estimates in multiple states.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in vehicle estimating or similar insurance industry knowledge.
You will report to a Manager, Adjusting Services.

Position Compensation Range:

$55,000.00 - $90,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities
  • Write estimates off of photos, including supplements
  • Interpret and apply a variety of claim and coverage applications and differences including 1st and 3rd party claims, multiple policy types, and endorsements
  • Interpret facts of loss and apply to damages to identify cause and origin, damage types, and fraud indicators
  • Perform repairability decisions including obtaining vehicle and salvage values
  • Negotiate positive outcomes with internal and external customers
  • Manage work inventory to meet established goals
  • Support decisions through proper file documentation and communication
  • Manage your files, making independent decisions and recognizing when assistance is needed
  • Provide all parties with claim process and status; answer questions or redirect to other areas
  • Collaborate as a subject matter expert and technical resource on process and claim resolution with internal and external partners
  • Maintain relationships with vendor networks and peers in other departments
Requirements:
  • Must have appraiser license and be able to write auto estimates in multiple states
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in vehicle estimating or similar insurance industry knowledge
  • Initiative-taking; ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members
  • Experience with an Electronic Estimating System (i.e., CCC, ADP, Mitchell)
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office required (Word, Windows, and Excel)
  • Must have and support valid driver's license and appraiser licenses (where required)
Licenses
  • Obtain state specific property casualty claims licensing as required.

In this primarily home-based role, you will spend 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from home. You must reside within a 50-mile radius of the following offices: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034; Nashville, TN 37214; Atlanta, GA
