The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Research Assistant in the Division of Aging & Dementia and in the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain at Columbia University Irving Medical Center will be working on a federally funded research project which aims to longitudinally follow a community-based cohort of aging persons. They will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator of the study.

Responsibilities



  • Assist in coordinating and implementation of various aspects of research studies including scheduling procedures (MRI and other brain scans, lumbar puncture, and neuropsychological testing) maintaining participant files and trackers and working with various electronic interfaces to maintain and communicate study information.
  • Administration of neuropsychological testing (testing, scoring, data entry, and data cleaning) and patient/informant interviews, as dictated in the protocol.
  • Subject forms management, data entry, and data cleaning.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.


Minimum Qualifications




  • Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 1.5 years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience.




Preferred Qualifications




  • Spanish language proficiency.

  • Ability to work on different tasks at once and be highly organized.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned timelines to meet study goals and objectives.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
