POSITION SUMMARY: The Cargo Operations Assistant provides general administrative and customer service support to Cargo Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned): Key Responsibilities:



  • Answering phones and assisting international operations by calling customers to advise that shipments or documents are ready.
  • Reconciling of interline bills.
  • Reconciling of Cargo handling contracts billing.
  • Reconciling daily cash summary for agents to be scanned and sent to Finance
  • Works closely with Sales department to research and close out claims.
  • Assisting with missing freight
  • Inputting information into airwaybill adjustment portal as needed
  • Filing of dangerous goods and live animal paperwork
  • Typing forms, reports, correspondence, and notes.
  • Assisting Finance to help track down paperwork for billing purposes
  • Performing routine clerical duties such as sorting, filing, relying messages.
  • Assists Cargo Admin Assistant as needed.
  • Other miscellaneous support duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year customer service experience working in an office setting
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Typing 35 words per minute
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment


OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history check and security threat assessment.
  • Ability to multitask and take instruction and guidance.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and exceptional phone etiquette required.
  • Previous airline experience preferred.


COMPENSATION:

This position has a starting range of $18.68 to $22.41.
