In the role of Water/Wastewater CAD Designer, we'll count on you to:
- Develop designs using Civil 3D models of pipe networks, grading, and similar civil design components.
- Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams of civil design elements using the current version of AutoCAD C3D
- Develop Civil 3D drawings and models applying HDR and client specific CAD Standards
- Manage drawing production with support from CAD Technicians in delivery project construction documents.
- Lead the development and maintain project models throughout the design lifecycle including project information, surveys, coordinates, projections, scales, orientations, scope boundaries.
- Work independently to complete CAD and design assignments with direction from engineers and other CAD Designers.
- Coordinate designs and drawing elements with other CAD team members and interfacing disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Engineering Technology/CAD or similar degree with a minimum of 5 years equivalent professional CAD experience with AutoDesk certification.
- Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and the preparation of construction drawings.
- Civil drafting background with underground utility experience.
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe/BlueBeam products.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong ability to follow written and oral instruction
- Ability to professionally interact and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
- Previous experience managing or mentoring CAD/design professionals.
- Facility (structural, piping and mechanical) experience a plus.
- Use of ArcGIS and experience with map development of utility infrastructure.
- Use of BIM, Revit, Navisworks and/or Autodesk Infrastructure.

Required Qualifications
- Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience
- Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
- Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
- Experience with 3D Coordination tools
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential
- Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
