Pay From: $20 per hour

MUST:

Experienced Sterilization Processing Technician

2 plus years of Sterilization Processing Technician experience

Must have experience in Central sterile or Operating Room

Must have a strong knowledge with OSHA regulations

Must be able to work independently

Must have an active BLS certification

Must be Certified: CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing/Distribution Tech) or IAHCSMM (Certified Registered Central Service Technician)

DUTIES:

Responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of all instruments, reassembly and wrapping of instrument sets, proper use of sterilizers, sonic cleaners and other related equipment and maintaining a clean, safe workplace

Technician will work as a team member within the entire department

Responsible for the decontamination, processing and sterilization of all dental instruments, and equipment to be used for the care of the patients according to policy and procedure and care standards

Ability to take direction from others and follow through in a concise manner, which also promotes efficiency

Ability to communicate using written, verbal, non-verbal skills when interacting with team members

Ability to set priorities and anticipate needs of others

Acts to protect and advance patient's best interest

Maintains knowledge of equipment, expected patient outcome, and anticipated complications

Prioritizes tray turnover throughout the day by following scheduled cases and coordination with OR Coordinator

Coordinates delivery and sterility of instrumentation and trays borrowed from other facilities

Assures team duties meet organizational objectives

Schedules and monitors daily accomplishments

Acts as a SPD Liaison and serves as a resource for OR and Vendor representatives

Staffs the unit accordingly, flexing as appropriate, assumes assignment as needed within the needs of the department and surgical schedule

Assists and facilitates preceptor training, orientation, and in-service education for onboarding and experienced staff as needed

Assures team competency is met

Listens respectfully, gives feedback directly, honestly and talks with others to clarify differences

Utilizes translation services when needed
