Salesforce is hiring a Manager to join our Global Communications team to support the customer communications function, including drafting content, proactive storytelling, Salesforce executive stakeholder management as well as customer stakeholder management. We're looking for a PR pro with strong project management skills, writing skills, deep critical thinking and executive presence. Working with top executives or public figures and/or issues management experience preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify proactive media, social media, and other opportunities to tell our best customer stories

  • Work with across teams to uncover the strongest customer stories for the business

  • Prep customers for media interviews, event opportunities, etc.

  • Research, develop, and edit customer-focused content, including messaging, briefing docs, speeches, press releases, blog posts, social media posts, and more

  • Track all customer interactions across the PR team

  • Help manage customer asks for the quarterly earnings cycle

  • Drive customer thought leadership on key narratives

  • Support the management of and response to issues

  • Manage external agency team resources

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in communications, ideally public relations - agency, in-house, or both

  • Excellent research, communication, writing, organizational and project management skills

  • Skilled at managing up and prioritizing; self-starter who is comfortable managing their work autonomously

  • Strong media relations and social media skills

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is able to multi-task, re-prioritize projects and communicate priorities to business partners

  • Positive, flexible attitude, sense of humor and living in the moment are second nature

  • No ego - we are a small, dynamic team and everyone pitches in to get the job done

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $132,800 to $182,600. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
