Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care according to the Standards of Care defined within the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the policies and procedures of The University of Kansas Health System, St. Francis Campus.
  • Effectively manage department/patient activities in a time efficient manner to ensure the delivery of care is well organized and proficient.
  • Provide quality customer service to patients, families, co-workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Have one of the following certifications
    • Certified Nursing Assistant through the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry
    • Certified Medical Assistant Certification
    • Emergency Medical Technician Certification
    • Certified Paramedic
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Prior work experience in a comparable health care setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
