Position Purpose

The main function of the Senior Funding Specialist is to facilitate various types of incoming & outgoing funds including security deposits, credit line increases and daily settlement. The Senior Funding Specialist will be responsible to fulfill periodic, deadline driven tasks as well a variety of requests as needed.

Position Responsibilities



  • Process all incoming and return funds daily
  • Process all incoming chargebacks related to debit card payments
  • Process all credit limit increases
  • Complete all aspects of the funding process daily
  • Communicate with vendors involved in the funding process
  • Manage the Uncashed Check Process including monthly communication with cardholders
  • Assist accounting with settlement and reconciliation of GL and DDA accounts daily
  • Review accounting's reconciliation of DDA
  • Manage the escheatment process including unclaimed property letter affidavits
  • Serve as a resource on escalated and complex issues
  • Manage funding volume and delegate to team members
  • Provide guidance to team members and share insight to management
  • Train and coach team members as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Minimum Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
  • 3-4 years of experience working in the financial services industry
  • Familiar with basic accounting procedures


Technical Knowledge and Skills



  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work successfully with wide variety of people in a team environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to solve problems and use sound judgement
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Ability to travel as needed.

Working Arrangements



  • This is a hybrid role expected to work in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. You will be able to work remotely on Wednesday.


Compensation:



  • Base Salary Range: $22.67 - $31.74 hourly. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
  • Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.
