Overview: The Benefits and Leave Manager will support the day-to-day operations of the group's benefit programs, which include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), STD, and LTD programs. In addition, they will be responsible for Leave Administration, including managing all leave of absence programs, such as Family and Medical Leave of Absence, Non-Medical Leave of Absence, Paid Parental Leave, Military Leave, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.

Benefit and Leave Management Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Support the execution of benefit guidelines and policies through functional and divisional support, ensuring policies and programs meet regulatory and compliance requirements at the federal, state, and local levels (specifically, reporting requirements for health and wellness plans and FLSA compliance).
  • Support various analysis (including full Cost Benefit Analysis) related to trends in support of leadership in measuring and/or tracking key HR-related metrics, relevant to Total Rewards programs.
  • Develop Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) under Benefits Manager Supervision.
  • Respond to complex inquiries regarding human resources policies, procedures, programs, and/or initiatives.
  • Support all health and welfare plans (Health, FSA, Disability, Life, 401k) to include a suite of ancillary benefit programs.
  • In conjunction with leadership, manage external relationships, including negotiating contracts with Health & Welfare providers.
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, and communicate open enrollment and company wellness programs; through structured communication campaigns while interfacing with Company strategy.
  • Reconciles vendor accounts, payments and data uploads, while interfacing with Finance and HRIS.
  • Maintain compliance with Complexcare Solutions policies, procedures and mission statement.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Complexcare Solutions Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Complexcare Solutions for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.


Leave and ADA Management



  • Handles the FMLA leave administration process from the employees' initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work including gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use
  • Maintains reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work; relays communication between employees and their managers during leave within reason
  • Advises managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, and short-term and long-term disability benefits
  • Oversees the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended FMLA, workers compensation, or other leave(s)
  • Facilitates other leave requests, which may include accommodation requests under the ADA
  • Administers other company time-off programs as assigned in accordance with internal policy and applicable laws


Job Requirements:



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Benefits Administration and Leave Management
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques in the development of sound metrics from a benefits perspective
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and a proven attention to detail


Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a combination of college and work experience directly related to Benefits Administration and Leave Management


Physical Demands and Work Environment:



  • Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force.
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions.
  • Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.
