The Naval Air Station Patuxent River Complex Security Services Project Manager is a full-time exempt employee responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards; assigning schedules; reviewing work discrepancies; supervising personnel; all project management task performance; preparing, reviewing, and submitting required reports; communicating policies, purpose, and goals of the organization to personnel; and instituting quality assurance programs to insure the attainment of all project performance objectives. Acts as the overall lead for contract efforts. Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program issues. Monitors and ensures compliance with all Federal and Department of Defense regulations. Provides subject matter expertise on DoD security policy and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Ability to learn the tools, techniques and methodologies used in the acquisition and retention of data required to meet contract standards
2. Ability to use computer software applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases and e-mail.
3. Ability to research, analyze and interpret policy and procedural questions.
4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team; must be able to solve routine problems with little or no guidance, seeking assistance for more complex issues.
5. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to the client.
6. Ability to manage and supervise personnel
7. Ability to work on multiple tasks often with competing deadlines.
8. Ability to efficiently organize workflow and adapt to changing demands.
