Purpose:

Supervise and coordinate a team of instrumentation and controls personnel, ensuring productivity, safety, and adherence to project timelines.

Responsibilities:



  • Perform project development and design for control systems, including DCS, SIS and HMI systems.
  • Manage, review, and optimize development of control systems and safety system design ensuring efficient operation and compliance with environmental and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISA, NEC, IEC), including proper documentation, commissioning reports, and test plans.
  • Provide technical support during control system construction and startup activities.
  • Assist with the development of new systems, processes, and tools to improve efficiency and reliability within the plant.
  • Participate in risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and control system safety reviews to mitigate potential hazards and ensure system safety.

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:



  • Minimum 15 years of experience, with experience in the petrochemical industry, with a focus on instrumentation and control systems in heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong expertise in distributed control systems (DCS) and safety instrumented systems (SIS).
  • Proven experience with industrial automation and control system integration with large scale plant projects.
  • Hands-on experience in the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and controls systems in industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations, including ISA, NEC, IEC, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Experience managing teams on instrumentation and controls projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and provide expert guidance.
  • Understanding of modern data-centric solutions and digital transformation initiatives.
    Knowledge of process control, pneumatic systems, calibration techniques, and instrumentation maintenance practices.


Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering, or a related field.


Preferred:



  • Honeywell TDC 3000, Emerson Delta V and/or Triconex SIS experience a major plus.
