Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Immediate Need

Position Type: Full-Time Regular

?Shift: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (40 hours per week)

Location: Deerfield, IL

Pay Rate: $20.00- $25.00 per hour (Wages are Bi-Weekly)

Job Summary/Objective

This role is responsible for managing calendars, handling correspondence, performing data entry,

managing expenses, and supporting various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the

corporate services department. Additionally, the position oversees the company's billing processes,

including preparing invoices, tracking outstanding payments, budgeting and initiating collection efforts as

needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Manage calendars for corporate services, including scheduling meetings
• Conduct data entry and management tasks
• Manage purchase orders
• Assist with supply management and inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels for office operations
• Monthly chargebacks
• Maintain contact lists for team members and manage purchase orders and check requests.
• Placing orders in COUPA for office supplies, creating purchase orders, journal entry posting in JD Edwards
• Review and verify invoices for accuracy before processing
• Keep capital projects up to date
• Finalize records at the end of the month, accruals, corporate services, various contractor invoices
• Interacts with internal/external customers as necessary to resolve problems
• Maintains highest level of internal customer service
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financing and/or accounting
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with JD Edwards and Coupa a plus
• Positive and professional demeanor with the ability to interact confidently with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Adaptability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, responding effectively to changing priorities and demands.
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written.

"The pay range for this position starts at $20/hr.; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
