Summary:

The Intern role provides administrative and project support within assigned department, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.

Wellness and Rehabilitation has approximately 50 individual people at any one time. We support Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Medical Nutrition Therapy, and Diabetes Education on the Miles and St. Andrews Campus. We are working on Productivity roll out, regional score card development, Engagement, Regional insurance verification collaboration, Shared staffing models, Moving to group therapy opportunities for access improvement and so much more.

The intern will have the opportunity for the development of Group classes, creating cash pay department to improve patient access by offering pts with more chronic conditions the opportunity for guided exercise as they transition from PT to the Enhanced fitness program at the YMCA.

Preference will be given to students pursuing physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical administration, or related areas.

  1. Education: Student who is currently enrolled in a two-year Associate's Degree program, Bachelor's Degree program, or graduate-level program preferred.
