 Job Summary:  
 | 
 Clinical management of adult congenital heart patients at Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) and University of Colorado Hospital (UCH). This position is part of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) group and time will be approximately split 60% at CHCO and 40% at UCH. The position primarily involves inpatient management but will include consults and occasional outpatient clinic. This role will involve taking rotating weekend call.  Key Responsibilities: 
 
        
 Medical management of the ACHD patient within a multidisciplinary team. Participate in daily inpatient rounds for ACHD patients at CHCO and UCH.Staff inpatient consults at CHCO and UCH.Obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations, manage orders, perform and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop daily and long-term treatment plans. Support and coordinate case management in the psychosocial needs of the ACHD patient. Collaborate, refer, and consult with department attending physicians, consulting specialists, and other members of the health care team to deliver effective, safe, and high-quality care. Responsible for in basket management (prescriptions, referrals, patient follow-up, and communications)Provide educational opportunities to nurses, APPS, fellows, and residents regarding care of the ACHD patient.Support IRB approved clinical research/trials through a variety of activities including obtaining consent, ordering diagnostic tests, recording laboratory and diagnostic results, administering therapeutic interventions, and reporting patient outcomes including toxicities or adverse events. Contribute to organizational and departmental quality improvement projects.

 Masters' degree in nursing or physician assistant studies Current State of Colorado licenseCurrent Certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support Prescriptive authority or eligible for certification at time of hireAcute care certification is required at time of hire for the advanced practice provider

 Preferred Qualifications  
 
        
 Prior experience in Pediatric Cardiology or Adult CardiologyMinimum of 1-year nursing or advanced practice experience

 The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Instructor: $111,000 to $127,000  The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
