Overview: The Pulmonary Critical Care Physician (inpatient, outpatient, hybrid, full time, part time and/or relief) is accountable for providing exceptional care to Cone Health patients as well as completing all clinical responsibilities. Responsibilities: Providing inpatient and/or outpatient-based pulmonary critical care medicine. Provides multidisciplinary team coordination services to assigned areas. Provides medical education to Cone Health residents and other students. The incumbent participates in or contributes to an environment to advance medical research. The incumbent provides independent judgment in diagnosis and treatment of patients, formulation of treatment plans, and direction of the interdisciplinary team (advanced practice providers) in achieving the goals of the patient care plan. Qualifications: Board certification(s) with the American Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (board-eligibleis acceptable if a current fellow or out of training less than five years), obtaining an unrestricted North Carolina medical license, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (North Carolina) as well as obtaining Cone Health medical staff privileges. LeBauer Pulmonary Care: A dynamic group of Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine Physicians, employed with a large hospital system, Cone Health.We were the first in North Carolina to offer 24/7 physician monitoring of ICUs via telemedicine technology.
