About This Role

The engagement coordinator in the Carl R. Ice College of engineering will plan, manage and implement college-level events and activities. The position will collaborate with students, administrators, faculty, staff, KSU Foundation, corporate partners, college alumni and other college stakeholders to ensure all aspects of events function effectively. The engagement coordinator will work closely with college leadership to plan, modify/develop and implement events and activities. This position will maintain records as they relate to past, current and prospective alumni/donor involvement, as well as other college lists.

The engagement coordinator will develop, direct and distribute marketing and written communications including but not limited to print, web and email, that promote and advance college enterprises. The position will regularly exercise discretion and judgment to determine best practices and implement or change policies for the college and assist in the development of strategic communications. The coordinator will ensure all published and electronic materials meet established criteria and standards for appearance, format, content and uniformity.

The engagement coordinator works with the customer service team and communication and marketing team.

Worksite Option

This position is on-site. This role is expected to be performed on-site five days a week with occasional traveling involved.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree. This position will use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by the hiring manager.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Highly motivated, team-oriented individual with strong project management skills and abilities
  • Experience managing programs/projects and event planning/coordination
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently productively and with minimal supervision

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range
