The Center for Applied Biomechanics is seeking applicants for a Research Associate for experimental and computational injury biomechanics research. Candidates will be responsible to assist in the development of research proposals, develop research plans including experimental and computational capabilities, manage the execution of research projects, including supervising graduate students and other personnel, and prepare reports, publications, and presentations of research findings for dissemination to research sponsors and the scientific community. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a research focus on automotive injury biomechanics. Candidates must also have at least three years of experience managing a team in injury biomechanics experimentation, and at least five years of experience with human body modeling in LS-Dyna, including the setup and execution of automotive impact simulations. Candidates must also have a proven record of scientific publication and presentation. Preferred applicants will also have demonstrable past experience in safety system development within or for the automobile industry.
