Summary: Provides credit analysis consistent with published content expectations including but not limited to the following: borrowing purpose; borrowing structure; management ability; economic/market conditions; industry analysis/trends; financial condition; management projections; cash flow (management, base case and downside scenarios); collateral; guarantor/recourse; strengths and weaknesses/mitigants; and risk rating rationale. Responsibilities: * Independently analyze and underwrite the credit worthiness of high value Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Borrowers SBA and other specialty lending requests. Ensure credit analysis is consistent with Bank's credit policy guidelines including Borrowing Purpose, Credit Structure, Financial Condition / Repayment Capacity, Collateral Analysis, Management Ability, Market Conditions, and Industry Trends. Qualifications: Education and Minimum Experience * Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics, or equivalent work experience Licenses and Certifications * Formal Bank credit training through ABA, Center for Financial Training, Omega Training and/or similar programs required Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities * Thorough knowledge of commercial loan underwriting including strong technical skills, significant accounting, and finance knowledge, understanding of Bank policies and procedures, and general knowledge of local laws, regulations, and compliance practices Benefits | SouthState Careers In accordance with Colorado law: Colorado pay for this position is anticipated to be between $81,097.80 - $129,546.62, actual offers to be determined based on applicant's skills, experience and education.
