Role Description:

The Laboratory Services Intern will support Program Development and Management within Laboratory Services. The position will assist commercialization efforts for new-to-market and future-to-market products and services.

Learning Objectives:

The Laboratory Services Internship provides the opportunity to learn about the marketing and deployment strategies for the commercialization of laboratory services. Students will gain practical experience as well as insight into ASTM's products and services geared towards technical laboratories, and the organization's culture and values.

General Responsibilities:

The Internship position will work closely with Program Development and Program Management within Laboratory Services supporting analysis and commercialization of products and services for industries served by ASTM.

Assist with market analysis of plastics testing laboratories from publicly available directories to support marketing strategy development for launching plastics reference materials

Assist with search engine optimization efforts related to ASTM Reference Materials

Education: Must
be enrolled in a related Bachelor's degree program as a rising Junior or Senior
at an accredited College or University

Key Requirements & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Strong mathematical skills and understanding
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey information in a simple and effective manner
  • Flexible, proactive, and self-motivated, with ability to give and receive feedback

Physical Requirements:

* Frequent work at desk or computer

* Frequent verbal and written communication by phone/email/video/in-person

Time Requirements & Compensation:

  • Remote
  • 35 hours per week, May/June through August.
  • Compensation: $18.00/Hour
