Grunley is looking for a personable, proactive, solutions-oriented Front Desk Assistant that will play a vital role and serve as the company's first point of contact with clients, subcontractors, vendors, employees, and the general public and as such provides a critical public relations service. The Front Desk Assistant is responsible for answering all incoming phone calls, referring inquiries, greeting visitors, receiving, and dispatching parcels and providing general clerical support.

This position reports to the Office Manager/Operations Administrator (OM/OA).

The weekly work schedule will be from 7:45 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday with an hour Lunch, a 15-minute morning break and a 15-minute afternoon break. The Administrative Assistant - Operations must provide advanced notice for any unforeseen absences and delays no later than 6:00 am the day of to plan for coverage.

Required Experience:



  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of Receptionist/Front Desk or customer service experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word), copiers and printers, and multi-line phone systems.



Required Skills:


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.

Required Credentials:


  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Experience:



  • Construction experience and/or working in a corporate environment is highly preferred.



Preferred Skills:


  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing work effectively, and utilizing time management techniques to ensure all deadlines are met. Demonstrates strong communication abilities to proactively identify, discuss, and resolve potential issues or roadblocks with OM/OA and team members. Able to coordinate, track progress, and adjust tasks when necessary to stay aligned with goals and timelines. Consistently delivers high-quality outcomes by maintaining focus, efficiency, and clear communication in our dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
