Continuing Education Coordinator - Children's Hospital of Richmond - CHOR Pavilion - Days

The Continuing Education Coordinator oversees a case load of regularly scheduled lecture series (RSS) activities internal and external,
which take place on a rolling basis. This includes creation of the activity on the CME platform and all sessions for a 1-year period; RSS
Coordinator Dashboard guidance and training; and Joint Accreditation ID creation and reporting within a separate database. The incumbent
will have a basic understanding of coordination, communication, organization and planning within education with a basic understanding of
medical or higher education credits.

Create & Manage Continuing Education Activities - Regularly Scheduled Series for internal and external customers 200+
* Creation of Landing Page and Registration Portal
* Manage all Speaker requirements (Disclosure Forms, COI's, Flyers)
* Manage Joint Accreditation Activity ID Creation in JA PARS Platform

  • Train New RSS Coordinator's via RSS Dashboard Training & Post-test.
  • Communicate directly with program faculty, and implement independently, program planning tasks as assigned by Director, CME.
  • Serve independently as primary CME/CPE accreditation compliance liaison with clinical departments/divisions at VCU Health System and external organizations (joint & direct providers).
  • Finance: Work with CE business Analyst to create CE Service Contract; Work with CE Program Coordinator on invoicing post activity.
  • Post Activity Reports & Yearly ACCME Data Reporting Support.
  • Other CE tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure responsibility and visible commitment of diversity equity and inclusion programs/initiatives through collaboration and implementation of initiatives across the health system.

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in education, Marketing, or a health care related field OR High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five (5)
years of work experience in medical care, health education, event planning or similar work environment.

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Adult Education, Adult Learning, Higher Education Administration, Marketing, or related field

Required Qualifications:
Two (2) years of work experience in a health care, education and/or clinical setting.
Understanding of health care providers' needs for continuing education.
Experience in a continuing education program environment.
Experience in an organization with compliance reporting requirements.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Proven admin or assistant experience.
Positive attitude; customer service skills
Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions:

Required to car travel to off-site locations, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
