Balazs Nanoanalysis is a contract analytical laboratory owned by Air Liquide Electronics is world-wide leader in supplying gases, specialty chemicals and services to a wide variety of industries. Balazs Nanoanalysis operates analytical labs around the world serving both internal and external clients. We support clients in a wide array of industries including semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense industry, solar, energy storage, automotive and many others. Our highly-skilled chemists assist other scientists and engineers from companies in these fields to support a wide array of activities such as quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D and failure analysis.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?This position participates in the Shipping and Receiving operations at the Fremont Balazs location to ensure safe, quality and timely services to its internal and external customers.
  • Follow all safety requirements set forth by Air Liquide.

  • Participate in 6S to maintain the shipping/receiving area in a cleaned and organized manner at all times.

  • Move materials in and out of the warehouse and work areas as required.

  • Engages with customers, drivers and vendors with a positive attitude.

  • Assists with unloading trucks when necessary.

  • Receives incoming shipments and logs them into an internal tracking system.

  • Works with brokers to ensure sample receipts proceed uninterrupted.

  • Generates work order numbers for all incoming samples using the laboratory information management system (LIMS).

  • Delivers samples and supplies to each department in a timely manner.

  • Updates sample hold shelf tracking sheet daily.

  • Ensure accurate shipment of sampling kits.

  • Maintains customs documents and compliance items related to international shipments.

  • Return customer samples, including proper packaging and labeling per customer's requirements.

  • Track S/R supply inventory and update management, or designated personnel, when items need to be ordered.

  • Must be able to work overtime without notice when deemed necessary by management.

  • Respond to emails in a professional and timely manner.

  • Identify and resolve shipping or receiving discrepancies as they arise.

  • Assist other departments (Customer Service, Sales, Laboratory) as necessary.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or GED.

  • Ability to use computer software, including but not limited to Google Workspace apps and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must have a valid driver's license (CA DMV Class C)

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs with the help of coworkers

  • Must be able to climb ladders

  • Previous shipping/receiving experience supporting an analytical laboratory preferred

  • DOT and IATA certification preferred

  • Forklift experience and certification preferred

The hourly rate for this position in California is $26.00
