Mechanical engineers design power-producing machines such as electric generators, power-using machines, such as refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. Mechanical engineers use computers extensively. Computers help mechanical engineers create and analyze designs, run simulations and test how a machine is likely to work, and generate specifications for parts. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: (Select education and/or other certifications that may be either required or preferred to perform the job) This position requires a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college. Additional requirements include, 1 to 3 years of relevant experience and demonstration of knowledge in CAD systems such as Solidworks, Cadra, AutoCad or Unigraphics. Additional skills in FMEA, FEA, CFD, Lean/Sigma, DFSS would be a plus. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and other database management tools.
