Position: Injection Mold Process Technician 1
Wage: $27.80/ hr
Shift: 3rd shift, 11pm-7am
Must be willing to work overtime and some weekends.
Retention Bonus: $2,500 paid out in four 90 day increments

The Process Technician position reports directly to the Shift Supervisor, . Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. Must take pride in hands-on and analytical abilities, organization skills, and attention to detail. This role is responsible for the safety of himself/herself and all team members.

What you'll be doing:

  • you will be responsible for process troubleshooting and set up of injection molded plastic products
  • Must have a proven record of success in fast-paced environments.
  • must have the ability to work with various teams and successfully troubleshoot, repair, and adjust equipment as needed.
  • responsible for all aspects of the injection mold processes including; changing out molds, completing setups, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of injection mold equipment.
  • Ability to perform in-press mold preventative maintenance and safety checks on molds and machines.
  • Ability to perform set changes that are done in the press.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • Knowledge and ability to perform all Mold Tech (mold setter/changer) duties
  • Routsis Training (or Paulson) Modules: Fundamentals (Molding 101), Mold Setter, Maintenance, Quality and Professional
  • Quality: Knowledge of SQC software and understand how to use the system during mold start up, trouble shooting and monitoring.
  • Proven ability to restart any machine/mold type in the plant along with associated automation.
  • Proven ability to perform a new start on basic 2 and 3 plate molds (Ex. Molds, 94, 268, etc.) and single core pull molds (Molds 1267,1080, etc.) and achieve the predetermined key process parameters.
  • Basic process trouble shooting ability to identify and correct common problems encountered such as mechanical limits, electrical switch problems, heater problems, hydraulic problems, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical circuits. NO and NC switches, heater and thermocouples. Voltage, current and resistance.
  • Knowledge and ability to use an ohm meter to check continuity and measure resistance in circuits - understanding of ohm's law. Ability to test and limit switches, safety switches, and hot runner systems and cabling.
  • Optimal skills - principals of robust processing- knowledge of amorphous and crystalline materials.
  • Material drying - know what materials to dry and how. Time, temperature and dew point.
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics - understand basic principles of fluid dynamics.
  • Hoist and crane certified
  • Forklift license
  • Energy Isolation certified
  • Cat III ESWP certified
