Responsibilities

At NISA, we are transforming how we deliver people solutions to our growing business and we need a unique talent to help us deliver. When we hire into the human resources team at NISA, we look for collaborative, lifelong learners, who are intellectually curious, infinitely passionate systems thinkers who enjoy building and delivering what they design. Our team is a rare opportunity to contribute to a shared vision, bring it to life, optimize it, and ensure it continues to meet the needs of our business. If you get excited about contributing to all areas of human resources and the business, this role might be for you.

Specifically, in this role, we need a systems thinker who is excited to support generalist needs across the HR function while helping us mature and materially improve all aspects of our work. While the responsibilities of the incumbent will evolve over time, based upon the needs of the business and the desire of the individual, core responsibilities will include:

Operating as a key frontline, in-person, point-of-contact on behalf of HR, interacting with leaders and employees routinely on a wide variety of needs, and delivering an exceptional experience consistently

Functioning as a true generalist - collaborating with HR and DEI colleagues to execute on our many accountabilities, with expected focus on supporting the creation, delivery and administration of various development resources, the administration of our job architecture and job description library, the creation and maintenance of HR's Standard Operating Procedures, maturation of HR reporting and analytics, HR project management, design and execution of employee engagement efforts and other work as needed or desired
  • Operating "in the gray" to give shape to new initiatives by thoroughly researching, building sound recommendations that align to business needs, drafting materials that provide balanced support for the recommendation, and socializing to reach a decision
  • Continuously improving and maturing HR practices and processes
  • Actively learning about our industry, our business, and our stakeholders' needs to ensure we effectively customize our solutions to support business needs, strategically and real-time
  • Maintaining knowledge of relevant external human capital best practices, and pursuing knowledge of emerging practices, that have been shown to drive business value
  • Remaining agile; as a member of a small HR team, no two days will be quite the same

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field
  • Generally able to work in-office during normal business hours
  • Significant exposure to, and successes within, multiple disciplines within HR
  • Strong desire to learn about, and contribute to, all HR disciplines
  • Proven ability to seek out and listen to business needs, and build custom-fit solutions
  • Exposure to HCMs, ideally ADP Workforce Now
  • Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and excellence
  • Positive, energetic, collaborative contributor who enjoys working as a team in every sense
