Administrative Assistant and Community Engagement Coordinator

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the VP of Advancement. Supervise and manage the schedule of the VP of Advancement including timely and accurate coordination of internal and external meetings, as well as dedicated time for project work.
  • Facilitate meetings as requested including reserving conference rooms, and AV equipment, sending meeting requests with agendas, and coordinating leadership schedules.
  • Work creatively to understand individual and community perceptions of Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers and work to identify needs and gaps in services and programs. Partner with the VP of Advancement to address these needs and gaps through advocacy and policy change.
  • Work collaboratively with the Advancement team to build awareness of Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers and develop a culture where Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers is seen as the go-to-healthcare provider on the Southside, regardless of insurance or lack thereof.
  • Assist in providing feedback about the patient experience to organizational leadership so patients experience excellent interactions at every touchpoint with the clinic and our internal and external services.
  • Participate in health fairs at area schools and around the community. Oversee the Patient and Family Advisory Council. Serve as a liaison with the Milwaukee Latino Health Coalition and other neighborhood groups important to Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers.
  • Along with the Advancement team lead special events for Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers, including Bike Day, the Health Equity Summit, and the Celebrity Roast.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; and the ability to manage competing tasks and projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and innovative thinking.
  • Ability to work confidentially, independently, and within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Professional software.
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in Spanish.
