The Automation team is responsible for the development, diagnostics, and maintenance of all automated packing equipment and robotics. Automation team maintains safety, improves production efficiencies and product quality

Job Description - Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Handle and operate any machinery, tools or equipment used safely while performing job duties.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints Mechanical and Electrical
  • Must be able to work with electrical power from 24v to 480v
  • Must be able to adjust sensors or know how to configure sensors
  • Set up & debug new automation as needed
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair various packing, automation and mold equipment
  • Develop, install, and program automation and robotics
  • Develop, install and validate vision systems
  • Assist with the integration, startup and debugging of plant floor equipment
  • Maintain clean work environment

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Employee could be exposed to seasonal weather conditions if required to go outdoors. Proper use of PPE is required at all times.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be regularly required to:

  • Remain stationary extended periods of time
  • Move around production floor
  • Communicate with subordinates
  • Position self to ground level as needed
  • Move, adjust, and position anywhere from 10 to 45 lbs
  • Identify, recognize and assess documents, machinery and more.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Automation Technician Certification
  • 3+ years Mechanical/Electrical background
  • Experience with basic electrical circuits a plus
  • PLC Programming
