How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Turbo Sales Engineer is responsible for managing the new equipment portfolio, generating high-quality sales leads, preparing firm and budgetary technical & commercial proposals, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveries. The Sales Engineer must be able to understand and relay customers' technical requirements and needs to the various engineering teams.

  • Collaborate with Customers to understand customer requirements, to promote the sales of company products, and preparing technical & commercial sales proposals.

  • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including requests for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.

  • Visit prospective buyers at commercial, industrial, or other establishments to show samples or catalogs, and to inform them about product pricing, availability, and advantages.

  • Attend trade shows and seminars to promote products or to learn about industry developments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, and familiar with rotating equipment.

  • Previous experience as a sales engineer or technical customer facing role preferred

  • Must have the ability to understand customer's specs and company equipment in order to integrate with customer's equipment and meet any compliance or regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to prepare proposals and budgets for new equipment projects

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Familiar with ASME code and requirements for rotating machinery, specifically turboexpander equipment.

  • Proficient with Google and Microsoft Suites (Sheets/Excel, Gmail/Outlook, Slides/Powerpoint etc.)

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and familiar with tools such as Autocad and Solidworks.

  • Strong background in industrial engineering, specifically with rotating machinery and cryogenic industry is preferable.

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills dealing with customers, resolving issues, and comfortable with handling multiple projects at a time.

  • Driven and internal initiative to go after and pursue projects to completion little oversight

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $110,000 - $120,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Air Liquide considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
