Pay: $20 - $22 an hour depending on experience

Work Schedule: Primarily works Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, with occasional weekends and special events throughout the year.

Location: This is a hybrid position that offers the flexibility to work both remote and at our Federal campus located at 6850 N. Federal Blvd., Denver, CO 80221.

This full-time position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts, Long Term Disability, and several voluntary supplemental benefit offerings. In addition, these positions are eligible for paid time off in the form of vacation, sick, holiday, floating holiday, jury duty and bereavement leave. OBJECTIVE:

The Volunteer Services Coordinator works under the direction of the Volunteer Services Manager. Coordinates court ordered and mandated volunteer programs (individuals that require volunteer hours as part of their program). Collaborates and complies with partner agencies and court systems. Provides support to retail stores regarding volunteer issues and ensures stores are following proper volunteer policies and procedures. Utilizes volunteer database system daily to track mandated volunteer hours. Provides administrative support, maintains accurate volunteer records, and provides timely statistical and activity reports on volunteer participation. Provides support to retail stores regarding volunteer issues. Collaborates with Volunteer Services Team Members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted.

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:



  • Nonprofit experience in a human service-related field and ability to connect with community resources.
  • Recruiting, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and placing volunteers.
  • Must be proficient in basic computer applications: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with Volgistics software preferred. Other data base tracking systems may be considered. Experience with recruitment websites and social media a plus.
  • Builds and maintains effective quality working relationships with internal and external customers. Acts with customers in mind and is dedicated to gaining trust and meeting expectations.
  • Ability to relate professionally and effectively with fellow employees, clients, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail, record management, processes, and timely reports.
  • Eager to contribute to a team environment. Supportive team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adept at working with diverse individuals including persons with various backgrounds, disadvantages and disabilities.

*Per auto vehicle insurance carrier requirements: For applicants/employees to qualify for inclusion on the Goodwill driver insurance schedule, for purpose of driving Goodwill fleet vehicles, they must be at least:



  • 19 years of age (not engaged in passenger transportation),
  • 25 - 70 years of age for all passenger transportation services,
  • 21 years of age for CDL.


Applicants/employee will be required to undergo a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and background check; applicants/employees must disclose all moving traffic violations or vehicle crashes (within the last three (3) years)(Note: not all violations are a disqualification for employment and each case will be reviewed by the insurance carrier); must have valid Colorado State driver license; must also be able to operate company vehicle, and adhere to all Federal, State, and local laws governing vehicle operation.

Applicant/employees using their personal vehicle for company business, must have valid vehicle insurance, valid driver license, and vehicle must be in roadworthy condition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:



  • Follow through with full-cycle volunteer placement: recruiting, screening, interviewing, onboarding, placing and or referring volunteers.
  • Screen court ordered and mandated volunteers to determine placement in volunteer program.
  • Respond to phone call inquiries from volunteers interested in completing community service hours.
  • Processes onboarding forms.
  • Match volunteers with assignments suited to their skills.
  • Use Volgistics volunteer management software to track volunteer placements, service hours, and activity reports.
  • Assist Volunteer Services Team with process improvement and using Volgistics volunteer management system.
  • Become proficient with Volgistics volunteer management software.
  • Work closely with retail supervisors to ensure timely communication regarding participant issues.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and troubleshoot volunteer activity and placements.
  • Assist with training retail staff on court ordered and mandated volunteer process.
  • Audit community service files/process at local retail stores on a quarterly basis.
  • Work with Volunteer Services Manager to track all contracts, agreements, and MOU's between Goodwill and referring agencies.
  • Keep accurate records and submit time sensitive reports to the court system and to community partner agencies.
  • Work with community service agencies, and the court systems to provide volunteers within Goodwill.
  • Assist with recruiting volunteers through social media, volunteer websites, volunteer fairs, community outreach events, partnering agencies, networking, civic, and local organizations.
  • Be knowledgeable about Goodwill programs and retail operations.
  • Work with Volunteer Services Manager to determine volunteer needs of organization.
