JOB SUMMARY

Provides accounting, finance, and analytical support in the verification, control, and processing of work activities in respective area. Conducts the development and implementation of accounting procedures and systems to assure proper and effective financial reporting and compliance; and provide research and accounting assistance to others. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and data requests for management, internal departments, and external entities. Completes the day-to-day activities, calculations, reconciliations and analyses necessary to perform periodic financial accounting closes. Coordinates or leads the preparation and administration of the annual capital and O&M budgets, the Operating Plan, and the five-year Financial Forecast. Recommends enhancements to accounting policies, procedures, and information systems. Assists with compliance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).

Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4EVER Strategy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Financial Analyst II ($62,130 - $77,660)

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; and
    • Two years' related accounting experience.


  • Financial Analyst III ($71,460 - $89,330)

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; and
    • Four years' related accounting experience.


  • Financial Analyst IV ($82,150 - $102,690)

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; and
    • Six years' related accounting experience.




Classification/level is dependent on experience.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assists with the coordination of the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual Everus Construction Group financial statements and reports for the Board of Directors, management, stockholders, bondholders, and SEC.
  • Coordinates the research, analysis, and evaluation of existing and/or proposed accounting principles, procedures and disclosures and recommend and/or implement the procedures to assure proper financial reporting and compliance.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports: accumulate data, analyze income, cash flows and margin statements, research and write concise and accurate explanations of variances and changes, prepare associated supporting documents.
  • Prepares analyses, reports and data requests for management, internal departments, governmental agencies, and external entities.
  • Assists in the preparation and analysis of the company's consolidated one-year and five-year forecasts, including preparation of selected alternate scenarios and analyses for senior management as well as forecast documents and written presentations for the Board of Directors, credit rating agencies and the investment community.
  • Coordinates the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) management testing program ensuring coverage of critical processes for the full reporting year.
  • Follows up on identified deficiencies, ensuring appropriate and timely remediation of any issues.
  • Implements and supports financial processes across the businesses to improve efficiency; standardizes work streams and reporting.
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


  • This position is required to be on-site at Everus' corporate location in Bismarck, ND.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • May be required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Requires minimal travel (up to 10%).
  • Subject to pre-employment background screening, MVR and drug screen.
