What You'll Do

  • Installs, upgrades, and manages PTC Windchill PDMLink (Product Data and Lifecycle Management) and CREO Computer Aided Design (CAD) applications.
  • Designs, develops, and modifies workflows and configurations within PDMLink and applications interfacing with PDMLink.
  • Provides customer support as necessary, including certain business and system administration functions.
  • Duties include working closely with project shareholders to provide overall technical leadership to develop and implement solutions.
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring implementations adhere to company policies.
  • The position requires a high level of technical expertise and support for the software quality assurance and software engineering life cycle including conceptual design, requirements definition, functional and computer system design, systems development and programming, implementation, testing, installation, and configuration management associated with enterprise level solutions.
  • Work closely with functional and business team members, project management, enterprise architects, system engineers, and application developers to design and develop enterprise solutions based on approved architecture and business requirements.
  • Demonstrate innovation when designing solutions and solving complex IT problems.
  • Ensure solutions are well-engineered, operable, and maintainable while also ensuring adherence to defined project management policies, change management guidelines, and quality assurance processes. Work with IT project management to deliver solutions on schedule and within budget.
  • Be alert to changes that may affect the security and operational environment of systems.
  • Monitor current and future trends in technology to the benefit of the organizational project and production systems service goals.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline
  • OR a Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline.
  • OR Eight or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
  • Onsite presence required (some telework possible).
  • Possible travel up to 30%.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Experience with installation, management, and user and system support of PTC applications PDMLink and CREO and with design, development, and modification of workflows within PDMLink and applications interfacing with PDMLink.
  • Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and/or Product Data Management (PDM) systems and processes.
  • Programming languages and frameworks (Java, JavaScript, JQuery, Visual Studio .NET, C#, C++, HTML5, XTML, etc.).
  • Oracle or other relational database management systems with experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Web server technologies such as Microsoft IIS, NetWeaver, WebLogic, and Apache Tomcat.
  • Integrated Development Environments such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, and Xamarin.
  • Version control tools such as GIT, SVN, or other code repositories.
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated success in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ITIL processes and agile development.
