As a Concrete Assistant Superintendent with Black Top Paving, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and successful execution of our projects under the mentorship of experienced Superintendents. This position involves directing and coordinating field employees to enhance environmental safety compliance, reliability, quality, and production while carefully managing costs. You'll engage in project planning and material organization, maintaining efficient job site operations. Your ability to monitor productivity, assist in compliance with best management practices, and facilitate inspections will be essential.

Collaborating closely with Superintendents and Project Managers, you'll help establish a project schedule and address conflicts. Additionally, you'll foster a team-oriented culture focused on skill development and accountability while promoting a strong safety culture through regular meetings and reports.

To excel as a Concrete Assistant Superintendent with Black Top Paving, a blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills is essential. Candidates should have a technical education or at least five years of relevant work experience. A thorough understanding of project plans and specifications is crucial, alongside knowledge of safety devices and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HCSS Heavy Job, and HCSS Plans will aid in effective project management and reporting.

Strong organizational and planning abilities enable you to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines. Leadership skills are vital for influencing and building a cohesive team, promoting collaboration, and embracing change. Additionally, good oral and written communication skills will facilitate interactions with team members. A valid driver's license and safe driving record are required, and a Class A/B CDL is preferred.

Proficiency in both Spanish and English is essential for this role.
