Team Lead, Account Management

The Team Lead, Account Management is primarily responsible for ensuring outstanding customer results in their day-to-day project-level needs through the management of a team of Account Managers. Moving beyond the role of an Account Manager, the Team Lead should train, develop, mentor, and lead a sales team to great customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Achievement of sales targets

  • Train and develop account managers to constantly improve and become consultative sales professionals

  • Monitor and leverage data to improve sales performance

  • Ensure account managers are assigned to the right accounts and workloads are distributed properly

  • Mastery of Dynata's products, services, pricing, and how to apply these to satisfy client needs and fulfill project requirements

  • Maximize efficiency by utilizing Sales Support resources effectively

  • Manage great customer relationships built on trust and a history of excellent results

  • Excellent internal and external communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Excellent client tactical relationship management skills

  • Driving outstanding outcomes through seamless collaboration and communication with larger sales and client service teams

Team Size / Sales Revenue

  • Direct Reports: Approximately 5-10 direct report Account Managers

  • Portfolio Management: Variable based on capabilities and experience

  • New Business Development: none expected, but this might be a career development element, if/when appropriate

Experience

  • 5+ years of Account Manager experience

  • Past success in fast-paced environments preferred

  • Fluidity and comfort using technology (in a non-technology company) to communicate, collaborate, and solve business problems

  • Travel as needed to meet customers and develop relationships with key contacts (10%)

The base salary range for this position in is $65K-$85K/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A competitive sales incentive program will be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits, dependent on full-time employment status.The commission plan is designed to reward individuals for meeting and exceeding sales targets and plan details will be provided to candidates during the interview.
